Patients come to your site for a specific reason. Whether they want to know where you’re located, which procedures you offer or details about a specific treatment, you must make that information accessible. The first step is creating a clear, user-friendly navigation menu.

The way you present information is also important. You want to provide useful information in words and terms patients will understand. Know your audience and avoid medical jargon. Incorporating images and animations can also help illustrate certain procedures and conditions.

By visiting your website, patients are showing an interest in the services you provide. If they can’t quickly and readily find a way to contact you or book an appointment. The chances are they’ll move on to one of your competitors.

Blog about the services you offer

Blogging is writing about your services in an educative way to bring potential new patients to you, rather than having your marketing efforts fight for their attention.

Sharing is caring and blogging is about creating and sharing information with your patients. By creating content specifically designed to appeal to your patients, blogging attracts new patients to your medical center and keeps them coming back for more.

For example, put yourself in your patient’s shoes.

  • Let’s say you are offering skin services and a patient detects a mole on his/her skin. Would that patient run straight to the doctor? Or do patients actually google first what it could be?
  • By creating a blog about types of skin cancer you will attract local patients straight to your blog and thus to your practice. You could advise them on your blog to come and see one of your specialised skin doctors for example.

Let’s say you sit down for an hour and write and publish a blog post today. Let’s say that blog post gets you 100 views and 10 new patients. You get another 50 views and 5 leads the month after as a few more people find it on google and some of your readers subscribe to your mailing list.

That blog post is now ranking on search engines.
